Being a Global Commodity Sales and Trading Analyst at Citi
Analysts are crucial to our success. They provide the foundation for everything we do, from risk management, marketing, origination, structured products, logistics or fundamentals. And if you’re not sure what some of these terms mean, our in-depth training program will answer all your questions.
Initial Training
All Commodities Analysts participate in training within the first month that they join Citi.   The comprehensive training program is taught by selected professionals with industry and product expertise.
What You’ll Learn as an Analyst at Citi
Citi’s Global Commodity Sales and Trading division is currently looking for candidates for our full-time Analyst Program in Houston.  Analysts will perform two one-year rotations in the areas of risk management, marketing, origination, structured products, logistics or fundamentals
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for people with business degrees as well as those with other backgrounds. What matters most is your high level of motivation, excellent communication skills and, of course, your academic performance. A true passion for the business is also vital. Candidates should possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical. Candidates should also have a strong interest in energy markets and the factors that impact them.
