Analyst
Being a GTS Analyst at Citi
The aim of this program is to recruit high-potential talent to be
future leaders of the organization. As our GTS footprint
continues to evolve we have designed a program to provide exposure
to how we conduct business on a daily basis.
Initial Training
Your formal training will start with an orientation in designed to
provide you with an overview of Citi. During the first week,
you’ll join trainees from other divisions to learn about the
structure of the company, the global marketplace in which we
operate and the resources available and how to access them. After
this orientation, you’ll embark on a longer program of industry and
product training, including a six-week period where you will gain
in-depth training in accounting, credit/risk, and financial
analysis. There will also be on-going product, technology, sales,
and professional skills training during the two year program.
What You’ll Learn
Analysts are placed into a
two-year assignment within one of the GTS business areas; Client
Sales Management, Product Management, Client Delivery or Marketing.
The type of position and deliverable vary for each Analyst
according to placement and business need.
We’ll prove our commitment to your constant personal development at
every level. Financial and Technical training will be complemented
by further personal development training in areas such as business
communication, influencing, presentation skills and team-building
events. You’ll be assigned a mentor and ongoing self-driven
development is encouraged.
Who We’re Looking For
The challenges and opportunities facing our clients around the
world equal some exciting challenges and opportunities for our
people. We are looking for people who can think globally,
creatively and be innovative to help us to continue to succeed and
meet our business goals.
We encourage applications from all backgrounds. The common factor
in all of our new recruits is motivation, strong academic
performance, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and
the ability to work independently or in a team setting in a
challenging and changing, high-volume, fast paced environment.
Having a genuine passion for the industry is also crucial to
becoming a successful analyst.
GTS Summer Analyst
The Summer Internship
Program runs for 10 weeks beginning in June. The internship
starts with a two-day orientation program teaches you the basics
before you join your teams. The orientation will help you
understand the products and services offered by GTS and you’ll see
how the GTS division works alongside the business to improve the
service and products we deliver to customers.
After Orientation
After the orientation, you
will work with your pre-assigned team within one of the GTS
businesses; Treasury and Trade Solutions or Securities and Fund
Services. The type of position and deliverable vary for each
Summer Analyst according to placement and business need. Top
performing Summer Analysts will be considered for the full time GTS
Analyst Program. The Summer Program will provide Analysts with
Junior and Senior Mentors, networking opportunities, GTS Senior
Management lunches and Senior Speaker Events where Citi’s senior
management will host discussions and answer questions.
