Being an Operations Analyst at Citi
Analysts are crucial to our success. They provide the foundation for everything we do, from research, valuation and modeling to coordination. And if you’re not sure what some of these terms mean, our in-depth training program will answer all your questions.

Initial Training
The one-year Operations Analyst Program starts with two weeks of classroom-based training. Depending on the area of assignment, rotations are offered either within Securities and Banking Operations or within Securities Funds Services Operations. You’ll also have an intensive week of training between the end of your first six-months with the Bank. This will include team building, product and industry training, business-specific training and personal development.

What You’ll Learn as an Analyst at Citi
In addition to the above training, you will also study towards the Securities Institute Investment Administrative Qualification (IAQ). This course is recognized by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and is designed to provide you with a further understanding of the industry, the securities and investments business, and the regulatory environment.

When you have finished two six-month rotations, you will be placed in a full-time analyst role, either within Securities and Banking Operations, or within Securities Funds Services Operations.

Summer Internship
Your first 2 days with on Operations Summer Analyst Program is spent in training.  Our interactive training program will ensure that you’re fully engaged in the learning experience, making the training relevant, stimulating and effective. Meeting seniors from Operations will give you a chance to learn more about different functions within the area.

After Training
Throughout the summer, you will also get the opportunity to participate in various Citi-wide events and meet interns from other business areas. These business presentations and social events will give you an in-depth knowledge of Citi as a firm. You will also be allocated a ‘buddy’ who can offer you informal advice and become part of your support network.

During the program, you’ll take part in a formal evaluation process that will help us to determine your suitability for a full-time position on the following year’s Analyst Program.

  • A project presentation to senior management
  • A final term review

Remember, this is a two-way process; we also want you to decide whether this is the right place for you to start your career.
